Expanding The HopeWest Mission
New Center & New Programs
The Herb & Laura May Bacon
Center for Living Your Best
Creatively Meeting the Needs of Our Community
The Herb & Laura May Bacon Center for Living Your Best is a significant project for HopeWest. It’s not just about a building and creating a “space” for programs, but a home for the level of innovation required to meet the needs facing our community.
The 80,000-square-foot building located at 2754 Compass Drive in Grand Junction has been purchased and renovations of the building are complete. The new Center for Living Your Best will provide the infrastructure and hub for a continuum of programming to meet a wide array of needs: entertainment, socialization, general wellness, palliative care and hospice.
It will be a setting that is inviting, entertaining and warm. It will house programs that provide for human caring, lifelong learning and ultimately change our world view of the elderly. It will be more like a club and less like a facility.
This project will transform the way individuals and families adapt to the challenges presented by the last chapters of our lives. It will enable people to age in place and remain as independent and fulfilled as possible in the comfort of home, yet retain social relationships critical for our health. It will transform our future as an organization, but even more importantly will define our personal future as we age. This campaign truly will result in “hope blooming.”
Creating A Continuum of Care
How Does the Center fit into the HopeWest Community?
Programs in dark blue will be housed in the Herb & Laura May Bacon Center for Living Your Best.
New HopeWest programs will address the concerns we all face as we age by providing medical and support services to our community. The programs will provide seniors the resources and support they need to remain at home, while maintaining their health and wellness goals – mind, body, and spirit.
The CLUB is a membership-based program that helps seniors stay well and live their very best while they remain living at home. At the CLUB seniors can meet old friends, make new friends, experience lifelong learning and enjoy activities.
A CLUB membership will help seniors maintain their health and wellness goals – mind, body and spirit.
Amenities at the CLUB include an art studio, craft room, exercise room, mindfulness studio, HopeBlooms cafe, game rooms and more!
The CLUB is currently closed with plans to reopen in Fall 2021.
Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly
PACE is a comprehensive health care program created over 30 years ago. PACE provides an integrated approach with medical and supportive services designed to help individuals meet their health care needs in the community instead of moving into a facility setting.
With PACE, a team of health care professionals works with each individual to make sure needed services are coordinated. PACE programs get to know their participants and design services to meet each person’s unique needs.
*PACE program is pending approval by CMS.
We invite you...
to embrace this unique opportunity to create something that will transcend generations and help make the last chapter of our lives the best it can be.
